As an integral part of the overall design team, we provided civil design services for a new Health/Medical facility in Cabell County, West Virginia.
Our scope of services included overall site design for this 2.1-acre site, including grading, interior roadway and driveway design, pavement design, utility design, as well as storm water system design and project permitting. Grade differential posed a significant challenge for this project and required the design of 3 modular block retaining walls to accomplish the grading requirements for the site. The project was undertaken on the Design-Bid-Build method of delivery.
Utility design included water and sanitary sewer design. The water line service for this project involved close coordination with the City of Huntington and West Virginia American Water Company.
Permitting responsibilities included obtaining all permits, including N.P.D.E.S. permit, WV Health Department, and Cabell County Planning Commission building permits as well as a WVDOH Encroachment permit.
Surveying services included topographic mapping for design purposes, survey plat development, and construction stakeout.
