This project involved the structural inspection, analysis and design of temporary construction shoring for the West Virginia American Water Company’s planned treatment plant upgrade located in Charleston, WV.
The upgrade consisted of 2 new pre-treatment buildings as well as the rehabilitation of the High Service Pump Station including repairs to the 54” water line. We designed a temporary sheet pile shoring wall that included tie-back helical anchors for a 15’ deep excavation pit required to repair the 54” diameter water intake line.
